Sorbet, from the Atlantian word meaning “nectar of ice”, on it’s own is plain and ordinary. But, when combined with mangos, a delicious fruit from my backyard and a couple of things from the kitchen… Let me just say, the sum of the parts is much more than the whole.
I put most of this together and poured it into a icecream maker.
The result is very delicious. Unfortunately, though there isn’t enough sugar and it is a little bit hard and icy. Still delicious. There’s not much to making sorbet as long as you have an icecream machine.
